MMIC Solutions appoints Chief Executive Officer
Malvern UK. 3rd March 2006. MMIC Solutions Ltd. today announced it has appointed Dr. Rodger Sykes to be President and CEO of the company to drive forward the development and deployment of their low cost module technology. Rodger joins from SiConnect Ltd. in Swindon where he was a founder and President and CEO. Before that, he was President and CEO at picoChip Designs Limited.
Douglas Dundonald, co-founder and Chairman, commented "MMIC Solutions was founded on the vision of enabling low cost, commercial applications to use the millimeter wave frequencies bands, which until now have been limited to military and high-end use by the very high cost of modules and equipment. We are very pleased to appoint a CEO who has a first class track record of leading both blue chip and start-up technology companies. Rodger has all the skills and international experience that we were looking for to build MMIC Solutions into the global leader in our field.”
Over his 26 year career in technology Rodger has held senior management positions in the USA with Texas Instruments and Philips Semiconductors, and also with LogicVision up to and through their IPO. He has a PhD. in Device Physics and a BSc. in Electronics & Applied Physics from the University of Durham, UK.
