MMIC Solutions appoints Business Development and Marketing Director

Malvern UK. 9th April 2007. MMIC Solutions Ltd. announced today that John McNicol has been appointed as Director of Business Development and Marketing to lead engagements with customers and guide ongoing product development. John was previously an advisor and interim manager for the company, along with other technology start-ups in the UK and abroad. Before that, he established European operations and was Vice President of Marketing for US-based wireless module start-up Intarsia Corporation.

John’s experience in microelectronics spans more than 20 years. He led substantial growth in the wireless business of the then GEC Plessey Semiconductors, and held senior consultancy, marketing, and business development roles in several technology start-up companies. John has a BSc. in Physics from the University of Nottingham, UK, has researched the physics of compound semiconductors, and has a post-graduate Masters in Business Administration.
